I read an article on that recently. Mexico is a large producer of auto parts and has seventeen(?) factories making vehicles. The pullback in auto production is severely hurting many of their local economies. I suspect the same thing is occurring on a smaller scale in Canada.

No matter what happens in the next few weeks, there's a lot of human suffering and misery coming as the industry downsizes. All sides agree that's a done deal at this point, but some people like Larry Kudlow just love beating that dead horse. The only thing being debated now is how much suffering, and over what period of time.

I am hearing that Mexico has been hurting due to the decrease of incoming US dollars as a result of our recession. Crime is escalating as fewer Mexican workers are finding employment here in Ca and elsewhere. This info has come from friends that have relatives in Mexico.

I have heard the same thing. Less money is flowing back to Mexico and its starting to hurt. The gov't has become too dependent on this money coming from the US as a revenue source. Mexico needs to clean up its corruption.....its costly.

So who in the world benefit from the current crisis? They must be in the small minority. Perhaps the whole world should gang up on them.
