I am sitting here reading Ann's post and thinking about how I would rent my home. What would I do with all of the political memorabilia and archives-----should I put the picture of Sarah Palin on the foyer table.

My daughter has a friend who lives at DuPont Circle and put the townhouse apartment very tiny on Craig's list for $1,000.00 per night. With it being centrally located, forget the $1,000.00 make it $2,000.00

I share your concern---anyone with a spare room or house close in could easily turn a little profit, not without some liability.

Require a huge security deposit. Short of a fire, you could update anything that might suffer damage.
