Wayne, Absolutely the truth is in your eyes only. Clinton/Rubin/Greenspan may have left a book of matches sitting around. Bush/Greenspan piled up the wood, poured gasoline on it, lit it and then cut off the water pressure so it couldn't be extinguished. Both mistakes, but one major and one minor.

>>There were huge economic problems Bush inherited from Clinton/Greenspan/Rubin, problems of his own making, and a couple of somewhat random events (like 9/11) etc.. that lead to a series of his decisions. <<

FF, this is where your bias shows up.

you use the adjective "huge" to describe clinton related problems, but you use no such adjective to describe bush's problems.

i will agree that clinton's problems were huge and i still can't stand him for starting this whole bubblenomics.

having said that, bush has sprayed kerosene on the bubble every single chance he has gotten... and "huge" describes his problems.

did you know bush sued new york to prevent "ability to repay" from being a requirement on a loan?

good lord.

so, let me rewrite your sentence without your bias.

"There were huge economic problems Bush inherited from Clinton/Greenspan/Rubin, huge problems of his own making, and a couple of somewhat random events (like 9/11) etc.. that lead to a series of his decisions."
