"now, if he'd just give me the tax haven angle, i'd be flush" I've been stewing over that problem off and on for years and it is a bit complex. I am sure that I have only scratched the surface, but I will say that becoming a Canadian can ease the process. For one, Canada does not tax non-residents. For two, if you check out the companies that act as liaisons between Swiss banks and non-Swiss citizens, you will find that generally they won't touch US citizens with a ten foot pole. Also and unfortunately so, the only legal paths require one to renounce US citizenship and avoid residency (spend 30 days or less in the US per year.) Most people are not willing to commit to that which leaves the not so legal ways...
