I've seen a few local newspaper articles about gun dealers getting Mega sales since the elections here in S. Indiana.
Seems alot of NRA types are skeered that Obama is gonna outlaw guns or something. LOL

Not seeing any Y2K type behaviour, e.g. hoarding food and such..

Cheers,
TW

I have noticed all of the above and more people trying to buy gold and silver coins.

Anyone hear of anything of the following nature?

A coworker informed me lots of little businesses closing up and going BK on east coast. Same also stated that people on east coast are collecting serious food supplies, for possible contingency or emergency needs over a longer term period.

I'm in a provincial town in a rural area of the Philippines. There is an infrastructure project outside my windown now building some type of water container 30 yards in the sky. I'm told when it is finished we will be able to use the water supply when the electricity dies (something that happens for a few hours about twice a week). Every day the local people play mahjong at night, or stand around watch the players. Fish and rice for lunch or dinner most days.

No guns or stockpiling going on here. Nobody even discusses the markets as far as I can tell!

I'm seeing and hearing some serious hunkering-down in eastern CT, RI, and parts of MA, TF. Bank sales of some of the most expensive homes in my area, small business bankruptcies, massive layoffs at the local casinos,a spike in home thefts and bank robberies. The feeling here is that the ugliness is just beginning.
