That's right. If we enter and stay in a global recession, then the only strategy one will be able to employ is to accumulate energy equities with a good weighting towards the dividend payers, and then picking up the growthier names on massacres along the way.

And yes, peak oil is only of academic interest right now. However, when demand returns it will come in like a tide over a crimped supply landscape and the price will move pretty hard.

The best chance the world had to avert that was if price had stayed at least above 70.00.
