41 seats to sustain a filibuster? I'm not so sure about that. With "Republicans" like Specter, Hagel, and the two ladies from Maine in the Senate who needs Democrats?

True, they can’t count on 41 nays for every vote that comes down the pike. However, the mere fact that there are 41 senators in the Republican caucus will dissuade Reid et al from bringing the most egregious stuff (from the viewpoint of a conservative) to a floor vote.
