Paul, are you new to investing or something?? Don't you realize that John Hull can not discuss specific issues relating to yields on chips? If he did and the business climate changed, Intel and John could be suid.

Have you been on other chip threads where the IRP openly discusses yields and profits on chips??

I think we are very fortunate as investors to have John spend his time anwering the occasional question. Certaintly more fortunate than about 95% of the threads.

Now what exactly do you expect to get an answer about?

Michael

<I take it your role here is to state Intel's company position or your own opinion.>

John's purpose here is to set the record straight when people like yourself come on here and make blatantly false claims or erroneous statements, such as your "DUMPING" theory and selling below cost. It's that simple.

You keep saying you want facts but you don't believe the facts or guidance you already have been given by the company.

1) fact 1 - Intel said that CPU margins for Q3 where "comfortably" with the tight historic range (i.e. margins were normal, not falling)

2) fact 2 - Intel said that Q4 margins would be flat to sligtly up

3) fact 3 - Intel's previous guidance on margins has been very accurate and reliable

4) fact 4 - Intel said that the fastest growing area of their business is not Segment 0 but rather "servers, workstations, and mobile CPU's"

This is what has been publicly stated by Intel.

On the other hand you dispute most if not all of this with no evidence whatsoever to support your arguments. All of your negative hype is based on media articles, comments/forecasts from industry pundits, and personal theories.

So, we have Intel (who has always been very candid and accurate with their guidance during both good and bad times) on one hand and on the other hand we have Paul Fiondella who has his own theories on the other hand. Guess who has the most credibility.
