I wonder what the thing is with the Chinese and Melamine?

One common use for melanine is in pesticides so it could easily be leaching into their water supplies....

Found this about China's treatment efforts...or lack thereof.:

OT -- In part due to your getting me interested in the subject, I took a calcium scoring test. It proved fairly high - 188. This got me worried, since I do have high cholesterol - taking Crestor for that - and I do get weird feelings in the chest on exertion, like when swimming laps in the pool. Followed the advice of a buddy of mine who is an interventional cardiologist, a notorious "stent man" (g) - and took a stress test yesterday. Happy to report, it was completely normal. Bottom line - you guys are unlikely to be rid of me any time soon.... LOL!
