For the same reason the bad senator from ALA is subsidizing Mercedes, Toyota and Hyundai..........we need the jobs, stupid!

Why don't you explain the inconsistency I pointed out first? Why should Alabama tax payers give foreign makers money while denying it to domestic producers?

Because Detroit is part of this country. Not all of us are self centered and selfish.
