Let me list you industries unions destroyed or in process of destruction during the time I have lived in the US:

Garment industry
Textile industry
Steel
Airlines
Automotive industry
Aerospace industry
Health Care
Education
And the biggest of them all, the government

Do you want to look further back for others?

He really does. The unions have wrecked lots of American industries. There was a time when they served a purpose, but they have become so big and powerful that they prevent the industries they're in from competing in a global marketplace.

There are still a few unions around that are not causing problems, and that's fine with me. But for the most part they are an obsolete leftover from the last century.
