To Everyone, I found this in my back files of Infrastructure, Carl Johnson said.. I hope this is not a copyright but here goes. After his day at the semicon west. By all rights this announcement should calm the jitters of many Cymer shareholders but the stock is still tanking. In our opinion the major issue at Cymer has not been one of a technical nature. We spoke with several employees of the company at SEMICON/West this summer and in every instance they stated that business was very good but the company was hamstrung by a lack of qualified engineers. It is not the product, it is the number of bodies! In all likelihood, this is probably still an issue and one of the main reasons DUV delivery times are stretching out. Of course, the EUV announcements that hit the wires have probably made a few traders nervous - we will have more on that front in an upcoming issue...
