Read it carefully. It is PR. They hae not done a single thing, and the only thing they promised to do, they (rightly) call insignificant in dollar terms.

They have not agreed to anything significant, only fix something that is a PR disaster for them.

That's a concession UAW [sensibly] made in an effort to salvage SOMETHING. Obviously, the American people who look at the jobs bank think it is astounding that UAW would continue to insist on something this ridiculous when the company is going broke.

It was a voluntary concession that would, in no way, "break" the union contract. I guess you were absent for business law?
