>> Because it assumes a black/white issue instead of simply a man murdering two people.

I don't know if the murder was a black/white issue or not. But his acquittal was definitely racially motivated. No doubt about it. Not only did he play the race card in his defense (to the extreme), but the fact that a predominantly black jury allowed him to walk reeks of racism, and the fact that a very high percentage of blacks considered him innocent even though he was quite obviously guilty, is black-on-white racism as well.

There is no assuming. We all know the facts.

Had the jury been white and had still acquitted him what would you have said then......that they were nigger lovers?

I would still have believed his acquittal was racist as his defense was based primarily on racism, such as the attack on Mark Fuhrman for totally irrelevant racist remarks (which should never have been permitted in the court in the first place). However, the fact that it was a predominantly black jury and their verdict was consistent with the vast majority of blacks' opinions in this country is proof positive of a racially motivated outcome.

And as a white person, you wanted revenge.

I believe justice was almost served today but honestly, I have no need for revenge. But for black-on-white racism he would have been in prison years ago.

You'd think that a bumper sticker like "If it does not fit, you must acquit" would totally resonate with our wingnut (R)'s!
