An utterly ignorant claim. The "bean counters" know precisely what is going on with this company -- the writers of the article don't have a clue. Bean counters can see that when you sell cars for less than they cost to build you're not going to make money. Apparently, some people have trouble seeing that.

The problem is the UAW and until they are broken there is no hope for any of the Big 3. A person would have to be blind not to see this. The bean counters certainly can, which was the reason it was the first item on their list.

Absolutely. I've worked at a lot of companies and the ones where finace holds the most sway in decisions are always on a downward spiral. They cling to yesterdays dynamic well past the timne it doesn't work, and won't invest in tomorrows dynamic so are always playing catch up.

If Apple was like GM they would never have made the iPod because the market was too small.
