>> Bush is setting new records.

How can you POSSIBLY make such an absurd statement?

Bush hasn't pardoned a Marc Rich or anything close to it -- the pardon of Rich was maybe the worst abuse of the pardon power that has ever been made by a president. And now, Obama has hired the guy most responsible (other than Clinton) as his AG.

Really, that you would suggest Bush's pardons are anywhere nearly as egregious as those by Clinton is absurd.

I doubt we'll see Clinton's record approached by ANY future president, and certainly not by Bush. And you sure as hell won't see Bush selling them to the highest bidder as we did with Clinton.

Damned Democrats. Corrupt as hell.

"I find it amazing that any liberal would mention the word "pardon" after what Clinton did...."

I find it remarkable that he continues to refer to you as a liberal. I think if anyone disagrees with him on more than one issue, you automatically become a liberal.

Bush is setting new records.

lol

So far George W. Bush has pardoned and commuted the sentences of less than half of those pardoned and commuted by BJ Billy during his two terms....

So what is the record, dipshit?

CJ, > Bush is setting new records.

Do you even read the Wiki articles you link to?

> As of November 24, 2008, President George W. Bush had issued 171 presidential pardons to people who have served their entire sentence, and has commuted in addition the sentences of eight people.

en.wikipedia.org

> As President Bill Clinton used his power under the U.S. Constitution to grant pardons and clemency to 456 people, thus commuting the sentences of those already convicted of a crime, and obviating a trial for those not yet convicted. On January 20, 2001, he pardoned 140 people in the final hours of his presidency.
