Mandatory small cars? That would be popular. Where did the mandatory come from? I simply pointed out some very basic facts about fuel efficiency in autos, namely that size/weight is the technically easiest approach to gaining efficiency. If you want to drive a Big Mack "pickup" truck, it is still a free country. So free in fact that the government is going to dip into my pocket to pay for the prior sins of people who preferred all those gas hogs which lead stupid American auto manufactures to teeter on BK today.
