Yes, it is a classic case. You believe your sources and I believe mine. Who is right? I'd like to say I am. However, I don't know how many scientists are on my side versus yours. And if more are on mine, which I suspect is so, then does that make me right? Who knows?

What tilts me in the direction of the global warming arguments is simply that in all the science magazines that I read, there seems to be a global consensus among scientists that global warming is real.

I'm not one to idly go against the global consensus of scientists, because I still believe in the scientific review process. I believe in human induced global warming like a believe that high cholesterol increases your probability of heart disease. Both could be wrong, but the probability of causality is high. So until proven wrong, I choose to bet with the probabilities.
