Saying its the best process we have is saying we need to realize its flaws and history of failure. And this should be taken into account when making decisions about whether to mandate revolutionary changes to our society and economy because of some scientific concensus. As far as saying that the folks who believe in global warming are trying to criminalize dissent, I don't agree with that at all. The only one who seems to be stifling open debate has been the Bush administration, Ironically, the person I quoted calling for criminalizing dissent is supposed to have been stifled by the Bush adm. Some stifling! Some censorship! When the supposed victim of censorship is not only speaking freely but openly calling for censoring others .... any censoring by the Bush adm is extraordinarly ineffective.
