So Dave, you're FOR involuntary, forced contract modifications anytime conditions dictate it? You idiot. The automakers are begging for money, due primarily to the UAW's having soaked them for years. If the UAW wants to keep current jobs, the government damned well out to insist on not only "contract modifications", but an absolute GUTTING of the UAW's contract and essentially neutering them to eliminate the power to strongarm money out of the automakers in the future.
