I saw an interview of obama this morning by tom brokaw, the issue of veterans came up... obama said, "When I see how the veterans are being treated, it breaks my heart, I think they should get the treatment and the respect they deserve." Well, this is one of those warm and fuzzy statements, but I seriously doubt he will actually act upon it... For a combat veteran to be told he has to take a number and come back in 6 weeks to get treated from complications stemming from his combat wounds is despicable and disgraceful... veterans also have tough times, they also lose their jobs and their homes, how about something for them while we're throwing money around? We already pissed away $700 billion to the banks and no one even knows where it went, and now the auto makers want a handout, but not a penny goes to bail out the veterans who fought and literally gave their lives and limbs for this country... If obama means what he says, then I expect to see him act upon it... but I'm not holding my breath... GZ
