So true. And most of them are black. I'm sure Obama will change the process so that black prisoners can get pardoned immediately, as a sort of partial reparation for slavery. Let's set a goal of reducing our prison population from 2 million to 1 million in a year!

Huh? I'm not familiar with this, nor does it sound right. Why would a pardon really mean much five years after the completion of the sentence?

Maybe you mean after the sentence was issued.
