Thread, let's quit wasting time on this clown. No serious short would take a position in a stock like this without at least a halfway informed opinion. Anybody have an update on the action in Singapore? I see the NSD 100 and S & P are off on Globex.

"Doug if the stock was going on to new highs like all on this
bbs believe why didn't CREAF gap above the previous high??"

Hey Chip:

What the heck were you expecting?

The gap was nearly 25% above the previous close!!!!! The fact that the gap didn't close is extremely bullish.

But we'll both see what happpens tomorrow, now won't we.

DD

CHIP HUNTER,

Not a bad strategy to try to play a gap, but a 25% gap up is a big, but not a huge gap- just make sure to keep a tight buy-stop over your short, or buy a short-term call option to cover yourself over the top if CREAF takes off. In this situation I think I'd discount the technical data and focus upon the fundamental broad "across-the -board" advance in CREAF products as revealed by the earnings report. That's a pretty formidable freight train IMO to stand in front of.... Your best bet is if the turmoil in Asian Markets helps you along a little.... Personally though I preferto short a stock which is fundamnentally overvalued such as FAST, than one like CREAF which is undervalued, but just had a big "pop"... Good luck! (Another technique like you use is to short new issues about one week after they are issued...).

Sincerely,

Doug F.

I gotta admit CH, you really had me fooled. I thought you were serious. You really haven't shorted, right?

Chip, the sentiment was far from bullish just before earnings were released. So, earnings are released, they are blow-out, and the stock gaps up 5 points. Geez, can you imagine this happening to ANY stock and the sentiment not be euphoric.

You are trying to extrapolate from one day of "euphoria".

Gap to a new high? You're kidding, right? That's ALL you want?

i do not bel;ieve it was the weak shorts panicking- however there are plenty of weak longs- and i {while not going short here- share the sentiment by waiting to rebuy my core}
best of luck to all-
the wall of worry is not too difficult to see

CHIP HUNTER,

On a tremendous down day when the smoke cleared- CREAF did not move much. I hope that you closed your short position early in the day on the first dip! Check out some of the large cap retailers/ mechandise companies for overvaluations currently- CREAF appears to be hitting on all cylinders right now- a dangerous stock to short. Indeed I'll even tell you- CREAF is one of the two largest long positions in my account.

This stock is a "peripheral Microsoft" type of company- it's on a long-term uptrend and right now nothing on the near horizon will disturb that sentiment.... Even if the whole market crashed CREAF would still not drop that much....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
