Why coffee is wayo: Coffee is perenial. You plant, and credit or no credit you harvest for 30 years! Other crops that you need to plant every year, yes, you need credit.

Most credit is just crops bought in advance, paid by Bunge, Cargill etc. The farmers of Brazil are the most powerfull in the country and the first credit goes to them.
