New Ridership Record Shows U.S. Still Lured to Mass Transit

If this respite in the price of oil persists, it will be interesting to watch how lasting American's memory will be.

Back in the early 90s, CA experienced a multiyear drought and the state began to run out of water. We were encouraged to conserve water.......I don't think it was mandatory. We were given a list of things we could do to cut down on water consumption. That was almost 15 years ago.......and CA has never returned to that level of water consumption even as its population has grown over 20%. All of us have been made aware of how finite our resources are on this planet and that we are close to peak oil. I suspect mass transit ridership will continue to grow no matter what the price of gas is if for no other reason, people like the extra money it puts in their pockets. Well let's put it this way......everyone but Republicans. Fortunately, Republicans are now only a small portion of the population so its much easier to neutralize their impact. ;-)
