I'm guessing for that kind of time difference you are comparing the old nickel metal hydride batteries to the current lithium ion ones. My point was strickly the price basis of lithium ion and have they come way down over the years. It appears to me that they have not. Years ago a battery (Li) for a laptop I owned was around $150 and it really hasn't come down in price today. Also, some of that difference is due to the advancements in Intel's mobile MPU power usage over the years. Much better than those old Pentiums!!
