You're claiming Bush is making Democrats run trillion dollar deficits. Forcing them. They have no choice. Democrats are counting on the brainwashed and retards to buy this line.

Bush ruined the economy by deficit spending and that forces us Democrats to engage in vastly more deficit spending (2X, 3X, 4X as big) to fix things, says Lizzie.

Yep, thats the story.

What a beautiful rationalization, with not a hint of rationality. And an impressive exercise in self-deception. Assuming you believe a word of the crap you just posted.

Yep, the government is the consumer of last resort just as the government is the bank of last resort. Without the government stepping in, the entire shadow banking system (much larger than the actual regulated one) would have cratered from lack of confidence AND actual losses as in the case of AIG.

If we actually had competent government instead of Republicans in power, we would never have gotten into the latest asset bubble and would not have to wonder what the heck is being done with $8.5 Trillion in our guarantees, loans and outright grants.

I don't think people still understand (Brumar is hopelessly ignorant and will never understand) the depths of the problem. We are currently accelerating to the downside. The latest unemployment numbers were incredible.

IIRC the BLS said these were among the very worst they'd ever seen and they have been around for a century and a half.
