What are your thoughts on this article given the economic situation that we all confront. An example would be Schwab Value Advantage paying about 34 basis!

Charles Schwab Corp. (SCHW) Chief Executive Officer Walter W. Bettinger II received a base salary of $793,750 for 2008 and $10 million in grant date value of equity awards in the year. Bettinger received $4.3 million of bonus and long-term incentive cash awards for 2008, according to the brokerage company's proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. During 2008, Bettinger also received $10 million in grant date value of equity awards and realized $1.5 million from vesting of stock, the filing said. The company's Chairman Charles R. Schwab realized $47.7 million from exercise of options in 2008.
