In fact, there are indications that Mr. Obama and his team refused to go along with the "pay to play" way Blagojevich is accused of operating, offering only "gratitude" if the governor appointed his friend Valerie Jarrett to take his U.S. Senate seat, much to the governor's chagrin.

The suggestion is that Obama was at least aware that Blago was trying to sell a Senate seat. That he chose not to buy it is fine. But if Obama was AWARE that Blago was trying sell a Senate seat, he absolutely should have come forward with that information when he became aware of it.

This is a crime. If Obama failed to report it, at the very least he is not behaving in a responsible manner to have failed to report it.

If the remark you posted is true, Obama damned well had better have been in touch with Fitzpatrick's office on it or he is no better than the criminal who was arrested today.

This allegation is shocking. Hopefully, it is merely a poorly worded account.

I find it revealing the press already has investigated and decided Obama was in no way involved.
