The maintenance on an ICE is far more expensive over the lifetime of a car than on an EV. That's a fact. Combine that with economies of scale and battery powered EVs will be more cost effective.

I find it hilarious that you think that batteries will become more expensive with scale. Either you don't understand basic economic principles such as "economies of scale" or you believe that commodity prices will be so constrained that they will drive lithium battery prices sky high. I can see that happening in the short term, but there are plenty of lithium supplies globally to handle the demand. They will just build more lithium processing plants around the world to do it. So after an initial ramp in prices, prices will ultimately come down pretty fast.

It's pretty evident that you take every piece of evidence and figure out how it makes EVs impossible, rather than looking at all the benefits that would accrue to our economy and national security if we moved to EVs. What's your agenda? Do you work for an oil company?
