The difference this time is apparently they do not want to raise marginal tax rates to 90% and they do not want to have super high tariff trade barriers. So perhaps the program will work a little better this time. (I know I'm dreaming <g>.)

The POG to me is just a side show.

OT) "That's why it's called Hoover dam not Roosevelt dam, in fact he ramped up the spending and FDR simply carried it on and re-branded it .."

In point of fact, Roosevelt dam in Arizona was named in honor of, and dedicated by Theodore Roosevelt in 1911. FWIW, famous Indian scout/fighter (and many times wounded in battle) Al Sieber was killed here during construction when a boulder rolled over him.

Roosevelt Lake water will be instrumental in development of and mining at the Resolution Copper (and gold) Company property in Superior, AZ. The deposit may be the richest and deepest in North America, if not on earth - a JV of Rio Tinto and BHP.

< there will be bread and circuses and manna from Obamaheaven, guaranteed ... >

To be fair to Obama, as we've spoken of here, there would probably have been bread and some sort of entertainment regardless of party in the WH. -gggg-

I see that Charles Jeannes is the new CEO of Goldcorp. This is the same fellow who was interviewed on BNN with Rob Pease on May 27th. The interview is featured on Terrane's home page. As an indication of Goldcorp's ultimate support of Mt Milligan, perhaps it has gained new stature from the appointment. His comments are worth listening to.
