Blagoejevich's anger would seem to imply that he (or his Chief of Staff) had a conversation with someone in the Obama camp. I suspect that Blagoejevich made a demand and it was rebuffed. Obama is commenting on that right now; will release details of all contacts with Blago's office this week. I would be amazed if there had not been some contact with Obama about who would get his seat. That's only fair and natural in our political system. The fault by some is to spin "contact" into "Ooh, what corruption were they getting up to behind the scenes!" nonsense for talk-radio audience consumption. Just another red herring.
