Although I personally believe the pendelum of public opinion has swung too far against unions and tword gobalization, which in a sense is union busting,my point was more to how discussions are framed. In an era where corporate bailouts are commonplace, corporate crime goes unpunished regularly, and loans seem to be extended to anyone for any reason, how is it possible for anyone to believe union contracts and protectionist ideas take center stage as the main problems.

If you subtract out government unionized members, I'll bet it's more like 3-4% (government would include teachers, police officers, fire fighters).
