While I don't think that Obama had any incriminating conversations with Blagojevich, I am convinced that people close to him discussed the open seat with Blagojevich.

One has to wonder how the president elect plans to use those excess campaign contributions. ;-)

I knew Republicans were very weak there and didn't really see much opportunity, election or not, of picking up the seat. I do strongly suspect though that Obama's preference is Jackson since Obama was the only black senator.
