See, I don't think it would "save the industry". I just think it would prolong the misery, and then they'd be back whining with their hand out again.

The proper restructuring of the industry would save it. There is no question.

I don't know anybody that would buy a GM or Chrysler. Do you? If you think they've got a future, buy their stock - it's a steal.

Nothing is permanent. Brands turn around........people were talking on this thread about Toyota and Hyundai back in the early 1980s. Those cars were considered sh*t. Nothing is permanent.

Besides, F, GM and Chrysler sell a healthy total of cars now. If they were profitable, who cares how many cars they sell. We can not keep losing our manu. base.
