The freedom to exercise one's religion is a law of the land. The free exercise of relgion may include refraining from acts that violate the religion.

The level at which you have abandoned your own humanity never ceases to amaze me. The only thing more astounding is your willingness to continually and boldly display your ignorance in such an arrogant manner. Conscious awareness of human nature founded upon the righteous principles which encourage one to live according to his most virtuous nature trumps all invented law. These principles are codified in the world religions which fortunately for us have the respect and support of the United States Law of the Land.

We are a nation of people governed by, for, and of our selves. Our laws are intended to reflect such a status, not rise above it.

"A nation's culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people." (Ghandi)

You think following religous convictions is a higher calling than obeying the law of the land?

Yes. Though they seldom conflict.
