No I am not of course.

You do realize that this is the core of the subject? That Reid and Pelosi (and others on the Left) want to reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine in order to stifle the free speech of Limbaugh and Hannity?

By feeding intolerance and division in the minds of those so inclined (read GOP rednecks here)..

This presumes a lot facts that aren't "in evidence". Most of the people who listen to Limbaugh do so because they agree with him. He is preaching to the choir. He isn't converting anyone.

I don't find Limbaugh to be the slightest bit intolerant or divided. I haven't listened to him very much in the last 10 years or so. But when I do, he hasn't changed much. He continues to ask cutting questions that need to be asked. Yes, he interjects humor and sarcasm, which is why his show is so successful versus the failures of the liberal radio talk shows -- he is simply good at what he does.

But he doesn't shut down debate. He often has liberals on his show, and of course he trounces them. Not because they're liberal idiots, but because liberal positions are largely indefensible.

Most people (I'm not one of them) want to listen to what they agree with.
