"Less...you said my lingering on the comment made about powerfull women and lefteis was banal...."

I remember going from the initiation of the topic on to expand the notion so we could explore 'fear of strong women' and how it may or may not be a factor for some people in making choices. You were not moving on with that so I thought you were being banal.

I don't understand your concern for Peter and what he posts about, whether it is here or elsewhere. Why do you care?

"re taxes...certainly you must have some opinion on how we will pay for this ever growing bail out.

As I tried to tell you, I don't get it. My idea of economics starts here: I don't believe economies are zero summed, where there is a pie that must be sliced in a particular way. Wealth is produced, sometimes from little or nothing and grows by resourceful productivity or is diminished by less productivity. Where there is profit by some, it seems fair for the government to tax that profit for the general good of all. How much is enough or the right amount? dunno. In addition if there is corruption (almost always) then we are dumed anyway.

Our hope for the future comes, therefore, from new or innovative uses of our resources in ways that produce wealth and with the integrity of our leaders to always guard our best interests. Both of which, I have no control over and only a little faith in.
