What you call "progressivism and unity" is what I call socialism and the eroding of individual liberties in the name of collectivism. Lots of people in the EU are now realizing that, which is why in France, for example, Sarkozy was recently elected.

But hey, that's the difference in opinion we have. At least you don't call yourself a "conservative" like Powell does.

As for Rush and Palin, most of us real conservatives know what they stand for. "Polarizing" is just a label given to those who don't agree with your world views.
