>Does anybody know a site where I can get personalized intraday up to the minute (or close to it) news of only the companies that I'm interested in.< I can't give you the answer you want. Since you mention Pointcast as an example, it makes me think you are looking for a free service. If you're willing to subscribe, then you've got lots of choices. And I'd like to hear from others which of the fee based news services they like the most. But on free sites, I've noticed that the services that are provided along with my online brokerage accounts beat the others in delivering the news consistantly. I have noticed this most prominently on the release of earnings reports. I search around all the news sites trying to see who gets the news first. You actually see the results as people in SI threads report where they see the news. I have reached the conclusion that news is released by the original sources in a sequence. It costs extra to get news first and the originator services their clients first. As an example, Reuters provides it's news to it's premium subscribers first, then releases it to other premium services, then releases it to it's own non-premium services, and lastly to the sites like Yahoo that are free to web users... Yesterday, when I first saw the news the Berkshire-Hathaway was going to buy out International Dairy Queen for $27, the real time price was actually $24. In the time that I took to calculate the the potential gain on a calculator, the stock price shot up to $26 1/2. I hesitated and lost the opportunity to make 10% in 5 minutes. That 10% (it would have been over $2,000 for me in this case) would have paid for a lot of subscriptions. That's the value of getting reliable news fast. Alex
