The unions are already busted. They have been getting hammered for years. They have already made huge concessions, which are getting phased in over the next two years. They are even taking on the responsibility for their pension legacy costs.

What the Republican Senators were trying to do last night was to force the unions to change the date of the concessions to be active today.
