The close in Singapore at 39.3 Singapore dollars, while up 0.2 is equal to a US price of about 24 7/8 using an exchange rate of 1.58/US$.

Given the VERY bad markets internationally today

IMHO, there is the possibility/probability that the rally in CREAF may have to be postposed for another day, or that the stock will have only a brief rally until the international currency situation improves.

I am LONG CREAF, not short, so hope I am wrong on this one. However I know that I am also not going to buy today as planned until the US market shows some strength (or resistance).

CREAF was likely one of the few stocks to go up today in Singapore.

Watch the bid on CREAF before opening to see what direction is indicated:

Edit:

see also this story in Yahoo about the turmoil in International markets:

biz.yahoo.com

''The markets are in complete turmoil,'' said one trader. ''Sentiment is changing and we expect to see selling pressure at the start taking 80-100 points off the Dow.''

European bourses suffered in the aftermath of Hong Kong's slide, following the Hang Seng's worst ever points loss. Soaring local interest rates and fears of a run on the Hong Kong dollar were blamed for the crisis."

US bond rates are up so interest rates are down so money is fleeing to the US too, which may counterbalance the effects. As See Lo reported, CREAF's sales as a percentage in Asia dropped significantly last quarter but this was counterbalanced by lower production costs. A nice insurance policy for CREAF stockholders.

See Lo , many thanks for the reply (#4756). This was a very good

article-my thoughts exactly. Lots of activity on this thread, with a

very nice mix of information and individuals -(even you Chip) . Some

very knowledgable people here.
