Why did you mention the SC on marriage then? Because Bill was laughing at the notion of marriage being a right. The SC hasn't said same sex marriage is a basic civil right of man. I never said it did. I think it would be very divisive and socially harmful for the courts to wage war on the values of a majority of the populace. Even in a liberal state like CA. Clearly we disagree. We were one of the last countries to abolish slavery and we're not the first to grant gays the civil right of marriage. But we will. I think it's inevitable. SD
