Nope. To make it worse, to negotiate and compromise is seen as weakness.

Exactly. Wait til Obama starts negotiating with one of our enemies. The screaming and whining will be heard from coast to coast.

Perhaps. But experienced negotiators know that you don't negotiate from a position of weakness. Ever. If you are backed into a corner where you are forced to negotiate, it isn't negotiating, it is acquiescence.

The Dems should learn from Reagan. The auto makers should learn from the UAW.
