Ted, there have been some really great suggestions made on the RE Crash thread about the Auto bailout.

The gist of them are: Why don't the banks that have already received the 350 billion in TARP money loan the automakers what they need?


They are not loaning to good credit risks. Why would they loan to bad credit risks?

Are not the auto companies troubled assets? Is that not what the funds are FOR?

I don't know. You would have to ask Paulson. He negotiated those deals and now is not talking.
