This is the case in the House of Representatives. Senators are around for at least 6 years and as I like to point out with West Virgina, you've got John D Rockefeller V, who is the head of the Senate intelligence commission and has more information flow than anyone else on Planet earth. ( family ownership.... in beyond the realm of our understanding in the family trusts foundations.... et al). And Robert Byrd... who of course is I believe over 90 and in serious declining health..... but he used to give Buckleyesqe speaches in the Senate with all these fabulous quotes from the Famous Roman Senators, Cato and Cisero and so much other wonderful erudition. I've always found it envigorating that little West Virginia has the really best representation that One might acquire. there is a reason the reknown scholar Carrol Quigley .... entitled his Classic book "Tragedy and Hope" after having extensive access to the CFR files and extensive dialogue with Henry Kissenger etc. JP
