The topic I have agreed to discuss has to do with 'weak people fearing strong women'. DMAA brought it up in relation to our discussion about Palin and attributed that weakness to lefties. His comment was tongue in cheek and I did respond to it without my own tongue in my cheek. I have provided loads of food for thought which could lead to a dynamic and interesting discussion.

I offered that, not only do weak people fear strong women but there are at least two different types of strong women, 1)those who compliment the strength in men, encourage success in their family members, contribute to community, and may be successful in career. 2) Another type of strong woman is the ball busting biatch. We all know women like that, men like that are called bullies. Weak people walk on pins and needles around them, their kids are afraid of them, they see community as a dog eat dog world and conduct themselves like bad dogs. The results of the former is thriving communities, successful business, and societies, the outcome of the latter is disfunction and destructiveness, weak people support these bad dogs out of some misplaced hope of being taken care of by them. So the weak people become bigots for their leaders, at the sacrifice of personal conscience.

I find that subject rich and open to a tremendous invigorating discussion, I find your repeated insistance on turning away from that challenge just to bash DMAA to be an exercise in banality at the least. Are you doing this because you are afraid of what might be demonstrated through your part in the other, more challenging discussion. It is very odd and leaves me wondering what is driving you to do this so compulsively.
