I saw a Vega when I was in high school where one of my schoolmates had jammed a 327 into it, changing out the whole drive train. Talk about acceleration!

I was the proud (?) owner of a Chevy Vega when I was 16.

Had a Vega wagon @ 19ish ... was actually good in the snow.. but burned oil terribly.. a quart to Tremblant from Montreal and back... and I could see the gas gage move with the pedal to the floor, but yeah.. nothing but good memories, it had four wheels and a lot of room in the back :o)
