Also, if it's an older furnace, check the control circuit board for an automotive type fuse. Much better than paying a service man $300 to plug in a new one!

This is an old furnace as in ancient.....no circuitboard....no nada.....plus its a heating oil furnance....of which I have no experience. The people who provide the heating oil also service it and they are very reasonable. They are coming out today.

Your oven will heat your house. Open the broiler door beneath it, the oven door, set it for 140 and put a fan blowing into it on a chair in front. Instant emergency furnace!

Already done.

Alternatively, just live dressed bundled up. Main thing you want to avoid at all costs, your pipes freezing and bursting inside the walls of your house. Other than having no water, you won't even know until they thaw.

Already done.....and in case you didn't know this......you drip the highest hot water faucets in your house while you sleep. That will keep the water running all nite and prevent a freeze up. Fortunately, the people who built this house were smart enough to keep the water pipes away from the North/West facing walls.......that too helps in preventing pipe freezing.

In the meantime, I have icicles on my nose but the mts look incredible.

What are you doing with stocks? Still completely in cash? I sold half my TCK this AM and did a quick trade in PDO. I just bought some AXL....half of which will be for trading; the rest a long term hold assuming the GM loan comes through. Still holding some DXD and QID and bought back into SRS.
