I say you need to do with cars what we have done with cigarettes. If Americans want a gas guzzling SUV, then put a heavy tax on those cars......and use that tax money to promote green technology or develop more mass tranist. Make them pay for their extravagance......just as people pay for the privilege of smoking.

Agree 100%. Except the cost to our society of gas guzzlers is far higher than a person smoking. Politically and economically


Very true. That's why I think the tax penalty should considerably higher.

Just ban them then and send the SUV police out to jail everyone who owns any. Of course, since almost all of the limolibs own them, contributions to democrats would dry up while your contributors cooled out in jail.
